Our (2nd) Thrird Anniversary

Today is our 3rd Wedding Anniversary!!! You might remember that we also celebrated our 3rd anniversary in May... But in case you don't know, John and I have 2 wedding anniversaries: on May 27 we got married in Vegas to make it legal, we chose that day to combine my May birth month with his June 27th birth date and we were also supposed to tie the knot on September 2nd, 2006 in a religious ceremony, but my immigration documentation got delayed and I wouldn't be able to go back home to San Diego if I had gone out of the country for that wedding; luckily (for us) a wedding was canceled at our venue for September 30th and, about 2 weeks prior to the original date, we decided to jump in and take that day, just in case, and I'm very glad we did!!!

We got married in Tijuana, Baja California (Mexico) on September 30th because most of my friends were there and we got more bank for our buck... Today, we're remembering that day :-)

And I just want to say that I'm EXTREMELY lucky of finding someone like John, you don't always get what you pray for, but you definitely get what you need. John is so nice and sweet that if we weren't together I would "recommend him" to anyone!!! Seriously!!! He's the kind of guy that will compliment you about specific things, he notices when I get my hair done or do my make up differently, he likes to talk things out, he works on our marriage, he's super sweet, takes care of me when I'm sick, and knows me so well (because he pays attention) that's annoying :-D... This were my vows:

"John, I'm here today to marry you, my best friend, the person I can trust completely and that makes me feel secure and loved. The man that I can laugh and cry freely with. And who I love deeply. I love you because of how sweet and caring you are, because you're patient with me, because you are concerned, because you support me, because you make me feel important, because you cheer me up, and when I'm down you can always make me smile.

I will love God through you and through our children, I will be patient with you, caring, devoted, loyal and compassionate, and I will always be considerate to you and your feelings. I will say I'm sorry more. In our house you'll always have a home, where you can feel secure and loved always and I will always receive you with a smile. I will never hurt you or make you feel unwanted. Your heart will be safe in mine forever.

On June 20th , 2004 you said: "I love you more than anything in the world, and to prove it to you I will love you for the rest of my life"... today I say to you the same thing: "John, I love you more than anything in the world, and to prove it to you I will love you forever".

This is my eternal pinky swear to you: I will take care of you, like your grandpa took care of your grandma when she was sick. I will be as devoted to you as your parents are to each other. And I will love you like my mother loved me, unconditionally, endlessly and 'til my last breath, so help me God".

Babe, here's to many more years of happiness!!! I love how you make me laugh everyday and keep coming up with new things so that I don't get used to them and get bored :-)
