Ornament Exchange 2009 (December's GNO)

Again, in order to be able to post this now, I won't write much (I swear I've been super busy at work too :-S Weird LOL).

As always, when hanging with the ladies, the night was A LOT of fun, the food was great, the conversation was hilarious and I learned things I never thought I needed to know ;-)

Jamie was a fantastic hostess and I'm very happy I was able to make it. Can't wait for next year's Ornament Exchange!!!

Otra vez, para poder subir esto ahorita, voy a tener que escribir poquito (les juro que hasta en el trabajo he andado en friega :-S Muy rara... Jajaja).

Como siempre, cuando salgo con amigas, la noche fue muy divertida, la comida excelente, la conversacion muy chistosa y aprendi cosas que no sabia que necesitaba saber ;-)

Jamie es una anfitriona fantastica y me dio mucho gusto poder asisitir. Estoy esperando ansiosamente el Intercambio Navideno de anio que viene!!!

Baby Sitting - Youth Group

Not sure exactly how this happened, but I've been sooooo busy I haven't had time to post anything... So I'll let the pictures do most of the speaking :-)

This past Saturday we had a fund raising event (the "kids" -damn I'm old now- are going to March for Life in DC in January), so I went to Babysit for a while before going to December's GNO :-)

It was very cute and I felt better than I expected :-)

No se exactamente como paso esto, pero he estado taaaaaaaaaaan ocupada que no he tenido tiempo de subir nada aqui... Asi que voy a dejar que las fotos hagan la mayor parte de lo que hay que decir :-)

El sabado pasado tuvimos un evento para recabar fondos (los "muchachos" -chin me siento super ruca- van a ir a Washington DC a la Marcha por la Vida en Enero), asi que fui a cuidar ninos un ratito antes de ir a la Reunion de Diciembre:-)

Habia ninos muy curiositos y me senti mejor de lo que esperaba :-)

And who wouldn't when the day is a gorgeous as today??? And you can relax with these views while you work out :-)

Unfortunatelly John HAD to come with us today so he could take Marley back home after a really short walk because her knees have been acting up again :-( We're actually thinking about going to Columbia, MO during the Xmas break to see the specialist and figuring out how much would it be here for her surgery, because I've been leaving her behind when I walk and take Mia only because she keeps limping and it's not like before when we could pop the knee back in place like nothing, now it seems pretty swollen and it stays like that for a while :-( And that's very sad, she whines when we leave even though we try to be very inconspicuous about it, she KNOWS and gets very antsy :-( And when we get back she'll either stay away from me or be super sweet as if to convince me that she deserves to go on the walks too... Awwww :-(

We want a happy puppy again, because she REALLY enjoys the walks!!!

Me encanta caminar afuera!!!!

Y a quien no le gustaria cuando el dia esta tan fregon como hoy??? Y tienes esta vista tan relajante mientras haces ejercicio :-)

Desafortunadamente, John TUVO que ir con nosotros hoy para que Marley caminara poquito porque sus rodillas otra vez se estan poniendo mal :-( De hecho estamos pensando en ir a Columbia, MO durante las vacaciones de Navidad para ver al especialista y ver cuanto nos costaria operarla aqui, porque la he estado teniendo que dejar mientras salgo a caminar con Mia nada mas porque sigue cojeando y ya no le podemos acomodar la rodilla como antes como sin nada, ahora se le siente muy hinchada :-( Y eso me pone triste porque ella sabe que la estamos dejando, aunque hemos tratado de irnos sin que se de cuenta, se pone a "llorar" y se pone ansiosa :-( Y cuando regresamos o se aparta de mi o empieza a actuar super dulce como para probar que merece ir a caminar tambien... Awwww :-(

Queremos a una perra contenta otra vez, porque le encanta ir a caminar!!!

Thanksgiving 2009

John and I got invited to Bill's parents house in Hannibal for the second year in a row (I guess we behaved last year :-D). It was a great time and the food was delicious!!!

We even saw a deer on the way back home, and the girls were happy to get a tiny piece of turkey :-)

John y yo fuimos invitados a la casa de los papas de Bill por segundo anio consecutivo (yo creo que nos portamos bien el anio pasado :-D). Nos la pasamos super bien y la comida estuvo deliciosa!!!

Hasta vimos un venado en el camino de regreso y las perras se pusieron muy contentas cuando les toco un pedacito de pavo :-)

November's GNO

Last night I attended November's GNO, as always, the company was great, the conversations were hilarious (naming your kid Cash Money or Espn anyone???) and the food was to die for!!!

Anoche fui a la reunion del mes de Noviembre, y como siempre, la compania es excelente, las conversaciones super chisotosas (alguien le va a poner a su hijo Dinero En Efectivo o Espn???) y la comida estaba para morirse!!!

I'm still alive

Hi everybody!!! Just wanted to make a quick entry to let you know that I'm alive and well, I've just been really busy:

* With work - I'm super busy all the time, but I'm getting really exciting projects and I'm really happy about it :-)

* With the Youth Group activities - No, I'm not IN a youth group, I just help with the planning and organizing and that kind of thing :-) They meet on Wednesdays, but every other Sunday afternoon we meet to plan the next couple of weeks. It's been a really good experience so far :-)

* Working out - I'm finally working out again :-D I REALLY needed it!!! And now I'm walking the dogs 7 days a week, 2 miles Monday-Thursday and 4 miles Friday-Sunday... Well... THIS was my first 20 mile week :-) But in the last 3 weeks I've only missed ONE day, so I'm really proud of that (plus I've been walking rain or shine, and I already bought appropriate garments for when it gets colder)... Oh, yeah, and I'm also doing Pilates again (2-3 times a week).

And that's it, in a nutshell, why I haven't had time to blog :-S I promise I'll make time for this too now!!!

Hola a todos!!! Solo para reportarme rapidamente y que sepan que sigo viva y pues, he andado super ocupada:

* En el trabajo - Ando en friega todos los dias, pero me estan encargando proyectos muy interesantes y estoy muy contenta :-)

* Con el grupo de jovenes - NO, yo no estoy en un grupo de jovenes, nomas estoy ayudando a planear, organizar y esas cosas :-) Ellos se juntan los Miercoles, pero ademas nos reunimos un Domingo si y uno no para planear las actividades de las siguientes semanas. Hasta ahorita ha sido una experiencia muy positiva :-)

* Haciendo ejercicio - Por fin estoy volviendo a hacer ejercicio :-) Ya me hacia MUCHA falta!!! Y ahora estoy caminando con las perras 7 dias a la semana: 2 millas de Lunes a Jueves y 4 millas de Viernes a Domingo... Bueno... esta es mi primer semana que camino 20 millas, pero en las ultimas 3 semanas solo me ha faltado caminar 1 dia y estoy muy orgullosa de eso (ademas de que he caminado llueve, truene o relampaguee... y ya compre la ropa adecuada para seguir caminando afuera cuando haga mas frio)... Ah si, y tambien estoy haciendo Pilates (2-3 veces por semana).

Y por eso, en resumen, no he tenido tiempo de postear :-S Pero les prometo que ya voy a hacer tiempo para actualizar el blog :-)

Halloween 2009

My friend Angie was kind enough to invite us to her First Annual Halloween Party, unfortunately, John was still feeling sick from the flu that kept him away from work from Monday-Wednesday :-( We had thought about a few couples costumes for us, but were going to buy them last minute, and since he ended up not being able to go, I went and got myself a Snow White custome, I had said Brown Snow White, but John says I'm "slightly off-white" :-D

I hadn't dressed up for Halloween in YEARS... Like 15!!! :-S So I enjoyed doing it this year :-)

I had a really nice time, the food and the company were awesome!!! Thanks again Angie!!!

Mi amiga Angie nos invito a su casa para su Primer Fiesta Anual de Halloween, desafortunadamente John no pudo ir porque todavia se sentia medio mal despues de que le dio gripa y no fue trabajar de Lunes a Miercoles :-( Habiamos pensado en algunos disfraces para parejas pero decidimos esperar hasta el ultimo minuto para ir a comprarlos, y cuando vi que no iba a poder ir fui y me compre el disfraz de Blanca Nieves para mi, yo habia dicho que era la Blanca Nieves Cafe, pero dice John que soy "casi blanca" :-D

No me habia disfrazado para Halloween en ANIOS!!! Como 15!!! :-S Asi que disfrute hacerlo este anio :-)

Me la pase muy bien, y la comida y la compania fueron muy agradables!!! Gracias de nuevo por invitarnos Angie!!!
