We got there and saw a lady with her dog, so I followed her, but after a while it was obvious that there wasn't anything going on :-( I talked with a couple that had brought their dog and somebody told them that the walk and the bone hunt had been cancelled :-( because nobody registered (???), but the swim session was still on... At 11 :-S Since I was already there, I walked the dogs for about an hour, we sat down, I gave them water and then we started walking again, and on the 2nd lap I saw John getting there (he was going to join us for the bone hunt and the swim since his knee is still a bit sensitive), we walked a few more laps and a bit before 11 we headed towards the pool...
And I'm SOOOOOO glad we waited!!! The day was gorgeous, perfect weather to swim and it was SOOOOOO much fun!!! It was great to see them swimming and enjoying other dog's companies :-) Unfortunatelly, Mia doesn't love the water as much as Marley does and Marley's knee started bothering her (like father like daughter), so we got them out of the pool after around 30 minutes, but we stayed for about 20 minutes more, just enjoying watching other dogs swim, dive and enjoy the pool.

Se suponia que hoy iba a haber un evento de "todo el dia" en el Parque Civico de O'Fallon, que incluia una caminata de 5 Km., una Caza de Huesos y Nadar!!! Y yo habia decidido llevar a las perras desde hace como 2 meses.
Cuando llegamos vi a una senora con su perra y la seguimos, pero al poco rato me di cuenta de que no habia nada :-( Platique con una pareja que traia a su perro y alguien les dijo que se habian cancelado la caminata y la caza de huesos :-( porque nadie se registro (???), pero la sesion de nadar seguia en pie... a las 11 :-S Y como ya estaba ahi, camine con las perras durante 1 hora, y luego nos sentamos en una banca, les di agua a las perras y me levante a seguir caminando, cuando ibamos en la 2a vuelta llego John (el iba a llegar mas tarde para la caza de huesos y la alberca porque todavia le lastima un poco la rodilla), caminamos un poco mas y a las 11 nos fuimos hacia la alberca...
Y me da MUCHISIMO gusto habernos esperado!!! El dia estaba precioso, el clima estaba perfecto para nadar y nos divertimos un CHORRO!!! Me diverti mucho viendolas nadar y disfrutando la compania de otros perros :-) Desafortunadamente a Mia no le gusta tanto el agua como a Marley, y a Marley le empezo a doler un poco la rodilla (se parece a su papa), asi que despues de media hora las sacamos de la alberca y las secamos, pero nos quedamos ahi como 20 minutos mas para ver a otros perros nadar, aventarse del trampolin y disfrutar de la alberca.

That was great video. Looks like the girls had a lifeguard all to their own. lol Looks like they loved it too. And how cool was that dog that went off the diving board. :)
