Courtesy of our Mailman

This actually happened last Saturday: John and I had been watching out for out mailman because we hadn't received any mail since we moved, so on Saturday we finally spotted him, and John walked outside to talk to him, then I remembered I had another question (I had been trying to change my bank statements to our new house but the bank's system, connected to USPS still doesn't recognize our address as valid), so I went outside too.

I think that John commented on how our sod will be installed sometime soon and the mailman says:

- "Some of these new developements will bring a large group of Mexicans to do several lots at once (I kept smiling and nodded thinking 'hello?!?! Mexican here' and he continued), you know, because that's not something very common here.(And I thougth 'ok buddy, where's your story going?' and I'm not sure if he figured it out because John and I made no comments and added) They do a very good job and do it quickly".

We walked inside the house and started laughing histerically... WTF??? :-D

UPDATE: Funniest thing, a few days later John called me to ask me to open the garage for the people installing the sprinklers (he called me around 11:30 because he didn't want to wake me up earlier)... I open the garage door and what do I see???? A Mexican guy working on my yard :-S Guess the mailman was right :-)

Woopsies!
It would have been funny if you had started speaking Spanish to John and yelling and acting upset. That would have been funny.
