Movies 2.0

So we started on Netflix again and we're watching a bunch of movies again :-)... Yesterday we got Gone Baby Gone, 2001 Maniacs and The Contract...

After a very crappy week at work I had to relax and just chill, so we pretty much watched the 3 of them yesterday (although I wasn't paying much attention by the last one, The Contract).

Here are my reviews:

Regresamos a Netflix hace unas semanas y estamos viendo muchas películas otra vez... Ayer miramos Gone Baby Gone, 2001 Maniacs y The Contract...

Después de una semana muy pesada de trabajo necesitaba relajarme, así que me eché y miramos las 3 películas de un jalón (aunque yo no le puse mucha atención a la última, The Contract).

Aquí van mis recomendaciones:

THE CONTRACT: As I said, I wasn't paying much attention to this movie, Morgan Freeman is a bad guy, but I guess I didn't really buy that... It seemed like an OK movie, but nothing out of the ordinarie, it didn't seem very interesting to me.

Como dije, no estaba poniendo mucha atención durante esta película, Morgan Freeman es el malo, pero como que no se la creí... Parece una película más o menos buena, pero nada extraordinario, no me pareció muy interesante que digamos.

GONE BABY GONE: I thought it was REALLY good, the acting is so-so, but the story is good, and it has several twists and turns, John said it needed more action, but I was ok with that :-) Overall this movie makes you think of what would you do in this case... Morgan Freeman is great. Casey Afleck pretty much got cast because Ben directed it.

A mi me pareció muy buena, la actuación está mas o menos pero la historia es buena, tiene muchos cambios inesperados, John dice que necesitaba más acción pero a mi se me hizo bien :-) Esta película, más que nada, te hace pensar en qué harías tú en esa situación... Morgan Freeman hace muy bien su papel. La única razón por la que Casey Affleck está en la película es porque Ben la dirigió.

2001 MANIACS: This is supposed to be a horror movie, but first of all is totally predictable, and even the parts that seem predictable are not half as good as one could imagine them. It's very cheesy and the special effects suck. If I had gone to the theatre I would've asked for my money back (I wish I could do the same thing with my time!!!).

Esta película se supone que es de terror, pero antes que nada resultó totalmente predecible, y hasta las partes predecibles no estaban ni la mitad de bien de lo que uno se pudiera imaginar. Está muy chafa y los efectos especiales son malísimon. Si hubiera ido a verla al cine hubiera pedido un reembolso (ojalá pudiera hacer lo mismo con el tiempo que perdí!!!).
