So this wasn't the most exciting weekend ever... I actually feel like I didn't do ANYTHING!!! Heck, we didn't even go to Costco!!! LOL But I rested SOOOO much that at 1:00 AM, I'm still not that tired (I know I'll pay for this tomorrow)... After having a GREAT time on Thursday with Tessa and Dani, I only went to a Dr's appointment on Friday (physical therapy for my TMJ/ear pain issues), came back home and didn't go out (except to grab something to eat from Carl's Jr); Saturday, not much either, I think I took a long nap in the middle of the afternoon LOL, we did, however, watched a few movies (on DVD) this weekend: Elizabeth, The Golden Age (I liked it, but it was a bit slow); Awake (better than I imagined), The Invasion (alright), and Atonement (I really liked it, but I have to admit I took a 1/2 hour nap during it)...
Any way... It all boiled down to today... We were supposed to go hang out with my sister in law and her family (husband and son), I was pretty excited about it because we haven't seen them since December!!! Well, yesterday she called John to say they had to cancel because they're sick :-( I know things happen, and people get sick and stuff... but I was really looking forward to see them...
So I got up at 8:30 and took the doggies for a long walk (I also took them on Saturday), got back an hour later, rested for half hour, danced for another half hour (Dance Dance Revolution) and then took a shower. We got ready and went to 12:30 mass... We go to St. Michael's Church in Poway, it's a pretty large parish and it doesn't look like a traditional church on the outside, but the priest are REALLY nice. John was SUPER goofy when we got there, and he started LHAO when he noticed a little girl poking her nose and... you know... Obviously he was paying attention to "what's important" :- We came home to check out Applebees menu online, pick up the dogs and take them with us to pick up the food; my in laws called, so we had a half hour delay in between :-D Then we finally went to grab our food... with the whole family in tow :-)
Today was one of those days where I wish I had a REAL big family (notice this is different than a really big family), that we could get together with everybody, see a bunch of kids running around egg hunting, having dinner together with a bunch of people, laughing, talking, hanging out outside... I dunno... I just feel nostalgic today... I wish I had a REAL family, because even though I feel that my friends ARE my family, I know that in reality, everybody else DOES have a real family, and I'm not it.

Este no fue el fin de semana mas fregon del mundo... Es mas, hasta siento que no hice NADA!!! Ni siquiera fuimos al Costco!!! Jajaja. Pero descanse, tanto, que siendo la 1:00 AM ni siquiera tengo sueno (se que voy a pagar por esto manana)...
Despues de pasarmela SUPER bien con Tessa y Dani el jueves, el viernes solamente fui a una cita medica (a terapia fisica para tratar un problema que traigo con mis oidos), regrese a la casa y no volvi a salir (bueno, nada mas fuimos al Carl's Jr a comprar algo de comer); el sabado tampoco hice mucho, creo que hasta me dormi un ratote a media tarde, jajaja... Bueno, por lo menos si miramos varias peliculas (en DVD): Elizabeth, La Edad de Oro (me gusto pero esta medio lenta); Awake (mejor de lo que me imagine que iba a estar); La Invasion (ta bien); y Atonenment (si me gusto, pero debo admitir que me dormi como 1/2 hora)...
De cualquier manera... Todo se resume al dia de hoy... Originalmente se suponia que ibamos a ir a comer con mi cunada y su familia (su esposo y su hijo), y yo tenia muchas ganas de ir porque no los hemos visto desde diciembre!!! Total que ayer le llamo a John para decirle que tenian que cancelar porque estan enfermos... Yo se que pasan cosas, y la gente se enferma... Pero tenia muchas ganas de verlos...
Me levante a las 8:30 y lleve a las perras a caminar (ayer tambien las lleve), a la hora regrese, descanse 1/2 hora, y baile otra 1/2 hora (Dance Dance Revolution) y luego me bane. Nos alistamos y fuimos a misa de 12:30... Vamos a la Iglesia de San Miguel en Poway, es una parroquia muy grande y no parece una Iglesia tradicional por fuera, pero los sacerdotes son MUY buena onda. John andaba muy chistosin cuando llegamos, y se empezo a carcajear cuando noto que una nina se estaba "rascando" la nariz y comiendose... ya se imaginaran que... Obviamente John estaba poniendo atencion a lo que es "importante" :- Regresamos a la casa, veniamos nada mas a checar el menu de Applebees en linea para ordenar y a recoger a las perras, pero mis suegros llamaron y nos retrasamos media hora :-D Finalmente fuimos a recoger la comida, con toda la familia :-)
Hoy fue uno de esos dias en los que deseaba tener una familia grande DE VERDAD (que no es lo mismo que de verdad grande), que nos hubieramos juntados todos, ver a un monton de ninos correr buscando los huevos de Pascua, cenar con un monton de gente, reirnos, hablar, pasar el dia afuera... No se... Me siento nostalgica el dia de hoy... Desearia tener una familia DE VERDAD porque aunque para mi mis amigos son mi familia, yo se que mis amigos SI TIENEN una familia "de verdad", y yo no soy parte de ella.
