STL Essential

Since I was still by myself last Saturday (and John's friend and his GF work during the weekend), I decided to go and explore the St. Louis malls :-)

I did get lost when I was trying to find St. Louis Galleria, but ended up at the West County Center mall, which was pretty nice.

I have to say that I've been pleasantly surprised by the malls here, specially with a "little one" (2 Million Sq. Ft. and 1.5 miles long!!!) that's close to our apartment that is called Chesterfield Commons (it doesn't have a website but you can find some info here), because it, not only has a Lowes AND a Home Depot, and a Circuit City AND a Best Buy, it also has a Walmart AND a Target ; last but not least, it has a Beauty Supply AND an Ulta!!! Oh, and it has 30 restaurants (including Hardees, Sonic, Steak and Shake, Mimi's Cafe, Red Lobster, Taco Bell, Bob Evans, Long Horn). And it's less than 2 miles away from us... As is the Chesterfield Mall, with your typical big stores (Macys, Sears, Dillards, Pottery Barn, Sephora, H&M).

I'll have to go visit Plaza Frontenac really soon (that's one of the upscale malls here) and the new
mall (The Meadows) that just opened on August 23rd and it on the next exit from where our new house will be!!!

Como todavía estuve sola el sábado pasado (y el amigo de John y su novia trabajan los fines de semana), decidí ir a explorar los centros comerciales de St. Louis :-)

Me perdí tratando de llegar a St. Louis Galleria, pero terminé en el centro comercial West County Center, que está super bien.

Aunque tengo que decir que uno de los centros comerciales que más me ha gustado es uno "chiquito" (2 Millones de Pies Cuadrados y 1.5 millas de largo!!!) que está cerca del departamento que se llama Chesterfield Commons (no tiene página de internet pero aquí hay algo de información sobre él), porque no nada más tiene una Lowes Y un Home Depot, una Circuit City Y una Best Buy, también tiene una Walmart Y una Target, y para finalizar, una Beauty Supply Y una Ulta!!! Ah, y tiene 30 restaurantes (incluyendo Hardees, Sonic, Steak and Shake, Mimi's Cafe, Red Lobster, Taco Bell, Bob Evans, Long Horn). Y está a menos de 2 millas de nuestro departamento, igual que Chesterfield Mall con las típicas tiendas grandes (Macys, Sears, Dillards, Pottery Barn, Sephora, H&M).

Tendré que ir a Plaza Frontenac pronto (ese es el centro comercial de las tiendas caras aquí) y al nuevo centro comercial (The Meadows) que abrió el 23 de agosto y está a la siguiente salida de donde está nuestra nueva casa!!!
