Hi there!!! As most of you know, it’s now OFFICIAL: John and I are moving to St. Charles, Missouri!!!
I hadn’t “announced it” on my blog before because first, I had to give notice at work and then they asked me not to tell anybody here to see if they could work out something to keep me here, but that didn’t happen… So, the move is on!!!
This is a very happy time for us, and it’s very exciting!!! I got a Quality Manager position at a company out there, and it seems that my job will be a good challenge!!! I’m extremely excited to start there and to put my experience to use!!! I am a geek at heart and I feel all these ideas coming to my head with numbers and charts I can implement, presentations to give and all kinds of “cool” work stuff I can do!!! LOL
Then, we also went to check out several houses that I had lined up for that weekend and we think we found THE one!!! Of course, I can’t start the purchasing process just yet, because I’m STILL waiting for my house in Tijuana to close (yeah… that’s a whole other story… not a good one, by the way… It’s taken almost a YEAR since I started the process!!!)… but we think it can still work out, since it’s a new development and the houses are not built yet, so we can choose the exact house we want and then start the selection process (colors, flooring, etc.), get the permits and start the construction!!! That should take 6 months total, and for some reason, I choose to believe that THAT will take the time they say it’ll take!!!
Originally I was going to fly to St. Louis on August 3rd, but if I did I would have to rent a car for a month!!! So we pretty much decided that I should drive to avoid that cost (plus, I won’t have to fly back for the move)… So, the plan now is to drive out there on the Murano, with a friend and my 2 doggies!!! We should start driving on July 31 stop in Albuquerque, NM (B on the map) the first night, and then stop again at Springfield, MO (C on the map) the second night… Getting to Chesterfield, MO (the area where I’m going to live for now and work, D on the map) on Saturday, most likely around noon.
The countdown is on!!! 10 days to go!!!

Hola!!! Como la mayoría de ustedes sabe, ya es OFICIAL: John y yo nos vamos a cambiar a St. Charles, Missouri!!!
No lo había “anunciado” en mi blog porque, para empezar, tenía que avisar en mi trabajo y luego ellos me pidieron que no le dijera a nadie para ver si podían hacer algo para que me quedara, pero no pasó nada… Así que nos vamos pronto!!!
Este es un tiempo muy feliz y emocionante para nosotros!!! Me dieron la posición de Gerente de Calidad en una compañía allá, y parece que mi trabajo va a ser un reto!!! Estoy muy contenta de empezar allá y poner mi experiencia en uso!!! Soy nerda interiormente y estoy empezando a pensar en un chorro de cosas, en números y en grárficas que puedo implementer, presentaciones que dar y cosas “curadas” que puedo hacer en el trabajo!!! Jajaja
También fuimos a checar muchas casas ese fin de semana y creo que encontramos LA casa!!! Claro, no puedo empezar el proceso de compra todavía porque AUN estoy esperando el dinero de mi casa de Tijuana (sí… esa es otra historia… y no una buena, por cierto… Casi ha tomado un AÑO desde que empecé el proceso!!!)… pero creemos que de todas maneras puede funciona, ya que es un desarrollo inmobiliario nuevo y las casas todavía no están construidas, así que podemos escoger exactamente la casa que queremos e iniciar el proceso de selección (colores, pisos, etc.), obtener los permisos de construcción y empezar!!! Eso debe llevar 6 meses en total, y por alguna razón, escojo creerles que va a tomar lo que dicen!!!
Originalmente iba a volar a St. Louis el 3 de agosto, pero eso implicaría rentar un carro durante 1 mes!!! Así que decidimos que yo me iba a ir manejando antes para evitar ese costo (y a parte, tener que volar de nuevo para llevarnos los carros después)… Así que el plan ahora es que yo me lleve la Murano, con una amiga y las perras!!! Vamos a empezar a manejar el 31 de julio en la mañana parar en Albuquerque, Nuevo México (B en el mapa), a dormir la primera noche, luego volver a parar en Springfied, MO (C en el mapaP… Y llegar a Chesterfield, MO (el área donde voy a vivir por ahora y trabajar, D en el mapa) el Sábado como al medio día.
El conteo ha iniciado!!! Sólo faltan 10 días!!!
