I'm going back to Cali!!!

I'm flying to San Diego tomorrow!!! I'm VERY excited!!!

I'll be getting there pretty late, but Tessa and Janelle are picking me up and we'll get together to chat for a bit.

On Saturday I'm having lunch with Monica and Karol... and later that day, the main reason of my trip: my BFF Hooli's wedding!!!

Hooli and I, I guess, have known each other forever, I used to go to Elementary school with his brother Cesar, but it was in College when we truly became friends. Hooli and his family lived a couple of blocks away from my house, and we used to work on school projects together, so he along with a group of guys (Engineering, remember?) used to come to the house frequently... Then my mom got sick... and passed away... Hooli was there for me during the most difficult times, just keeping me company, we didn't have to talk much about it, just hanged out, watching TV, eating chips, what ever, I knew he was there for me.

I could write a thousand little anecdotes of things we shared, like that one time there was a power outage, or went we went to my aunt's house with Claudia and Pitt and we got lost in Echo Park... and I could mention a bunch of favors he's made for me, like taking care of Mia when I went on vacation... But in the end, they might not seem as meaningful as they really are...

So I just want to say: Congratulations Hooli and Maricela!!! I wish you ALL the happiness in the world and lots of shared good memories!!! Hooli, you are my brother and I love ya lots!!! Can't wait to share your special day!!!

Manana vuelo a San Diego!!! Y estoy muy emocionada!!!

Voy a llegar muy tarde, pero Tessa y Janelle me van a recoger y vamos a platicar un rato en un cafecito.

El sabado voy a comer con Karol y Monica... y mas tarde ese dia, la razon principal de mi viaje: la boda de mi BFF Hooli!!!

Yo creo que Hooli y yo nos hemos conocido desde siempre, yo fui a la Primaria con su hermano Cesar, pero fue en la Universidad cuando realmente nos hicimos amigos. Hooli y su familia vivian a unas cuadras de mi casa, y haciamos proyectos juntos, asi que el, junto con un grupo de muchachos (Ingenieria, lo recuerdan?) iban a la casa frecuentemente... Luego mi mama se enfermo... Y murio... Y Hooli estuvo conmigo durante los momentos mas dificiles, simplemente haciendome compania, nunca hablamos mucho al respecto, simplemente estabamos juntos, viendo la tele, comiendo papitas, diciendo pendejadas, lo que sea, yo sabia que el estaba ahi y me apoyaba.

Podria contar miles de anecdotas de cosas que compartimos, como la vez que se fue la luz, o la vez que fuimos a la casa de mi tia con Claudia y Pitt y nos perdimos en Echo Park... y podria mencionar cientos de favores que me hizo, como cuando cuidaba a Mia cuando yo salia de vacaciones... Pero al final de cuentas, no pareceran tan significativas como realmente son...

Asi que solo quiero decir: Felicidades Hooli y Maricela!!! Les deseo TODA la felicidad del mundo y muchas buenas anecdotas compartidas!!! Hooli, eres mi hermano y te quiero un chingo!!! Me da mucho gusto compartir su dia tan especial!!!
